About

I'm a final-year Bachelor of IT (Cyber Security) student based in Brisbane, Australia, currently completing an internship at Rabone Systems, working hands-on with access control and physical security systems, and turning what I study into real installations and real-world practice.

Alongside my studies, my work has reached peer-reviewed research as a published author in the Journal of Research on Technology in Education (Taylor & Francis, Q1). I've also been selected for CQUniversity's CoICT Industry Mentoring Program, an invitation-only program for outstanding final-year IT students.

I'm now seeking graduate roles, research collaborations, and PhD opportunities at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

Research

My work spans cybersecurity, AI, and human-centered learning, across published research and ongoing studies.

Ongoing research

Enhancing Cybersecurity Awareness for Older Adults through Empathic AI Dialogue System Support: A Qualitative Interview Study

Qualitative interview study · Reflexive thematic analysis

An ongoing qualitative interview study into how older adults experience online scams and cybersecurity education, and how empathic AI dialogue systems can build their trust, confidence, and decision-making, working toward a framework for age-appropriate, AI-supported cybersecurity awareness.

Academic Projects

Digital Forensics Investigation: M57.biz

COIT12201 · 2025

  • Performed forensic acquisition and analysis of disk images and USB media in OSForensics and Autopsy, carving deleted artefacts and correlating filesystem metadata, registry, and link-file evidence to reconstruct an IP exfiltration timeline.
  • Documented findings to evidentiary standard, addressing hash verification, chain of custody, and admissibility under the Evidence Act 1995.

Network Security Architecture: Mining Corporation

COIT12202 · 2025

  • Architected a defence-in-depth hybrid cloud and on-premises design using Azure Firewall, RBAC, and VPN, enforcing segmentation and least privilege across corporate network boundaries to constrain lateral movement.
  • Mapped each control to the threat model and residual risk, justifying architectural trade-offs for a real-world corporate scenario.

Secure Client/Server Application: Applied Cryptography

COIT13240 · 2026

  • Implemented a Python client/server encrypting CSV payloads under AES and DES, with Diffie-Hellman key exchange establishing ephemeral session keys.
  • Hardened Apache TLS on a cloud Linux VM, managing certificate and cipher-suite configuration, and verified ciphertext confidentiality in transit through Wireshark capture analysis.
